On March 14th and 15th, 2025, representatives from Holy Family Ministries proudly attended the annual Youth Guidance Chicago Parent Leadership Conference (PLC) held in Itasca. The conference, themed "The Power of We: Radical Change," brought together parents from across the region for two days of connection, learning, and celebration of parenthood and leadership.
Holy Family School's Parent Advisory Council Circle (PACC) President, Mrs. Mia James, represented HFM exceptionally well during the conference's opening ceremony! She addressed a room of over 200 child advocates from across Chicago, speaking passionately on the theme of "Radical Change in our Schools!"
Adding to Holy Family Ministries' strong presence at the conference, CEO Cheryl W. Collins led a session titled "We Begins with Me: It's OK to be Great!" Her insightful presentation undoubtedly empowered attendees to embrace their potential as a catalyst for collective change.
The event at the Eaglewood Resort & Spa featured interactive workshops, inspiring guest speakers, and an awards ceremony, all centered around the theme of collective strength in fostering positive change. For Holy Family Ministries, participation in the PLC was a valuable opportunity to connect with other parents and educators, share experiences, and gain insights to support further the families they serve through their educational and youth development programs on Chicago's West Side. The focus on "radical change" resonated deeply with Holy Family's long-standing commitment to empowering youth through education, leadership development, and anti-violence efforts.
